What is New Media?
New Media, in its most basic form is the convergence of art and technology. We have tools today that may have seemed unimaginable 10 or 15 years ago.Programs like Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver revolutionize the way we create and design. Standards such as XML have made the web much friendlier for the user and the web designer.
The best part about New Media is that it's "New." Every day could be the day the next great 'thing' hits the market.
Who is Rob Saurini?
I am a Senior at the Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in New Media Interactive Devlopment. I've been interested in web and graphic design ever since I was 14, when I made my first fan site for a well known band. I go the extra mile for my clients to make sure that they are more than satisfied with the quality of my work.What is Web Design?
Taken literally, web design means using graphics, text, and multimedia to communicate with a broad spectrum of people. However, "Web Design" is often used to imply much more, such as programming and system administration. This can be quite confusing to someone looking for a job or a new career. In order to survive as a Web designer developer programmer professional, you must have a diverse set of skills which are in demand.
